If the Golden AB Rule is implemented in Major League Baseball, I think it would be… pretty interesting.
Yeah, I said it. You can take the bat out of hands with the Intentional walk, so why not see what happens when you put the bat IN someone’s hands?
For me, very rarely. But for a lot of guys, they have kids and partners join as much as they can. The logistics and planning are almost completely the family’s to take care of. Flights, hotel, transportation, etc. The partners make this thing possible. They are THE MOST important part.
High school to college is more of a culture shock than anything. High school to D1 is a fairly large talent gap, but College to pro is usually the biggest.
When you join the big club, you find that even the smallest mistake can kill you right away. Staying is the hardest milestone there is.
Two big reasons. One, starting pitchers ability to “settle in” and find it is what makes them a starting pitcher in the first place, especially a vet. So, it’s important to not jump the gun too early. Two, unplanned bullpen games can decimate your options for the next few games.
What is one question about Major League Baseball, or baseball in general, that you’ve always wanted to know the answer to?
