In honor of Matsuo Bashō, who died on this day in 1694. (With a nod to the bonded crows who live nearby.)

Yeah, I know. It's a fuckin' scary shit show for sure.
So nice to see you here! I've been thinking about you an awful lot with all that's going on. Hope you're doing well, considering.
Nothing like a cozy scarf wrapped up super snug... and a rainbow one at that!

The air wasn't clear (due to fires) but the pond sure looked shiny!
At the Lodge at Summer Lake.

He is! But he lives up to his name and can be a total pest. His cuteness saves him.
January 2024. Morning sun reflecting off a metal barn in a field thick with solid ice. Frigid nighttime temps and thawing daytime temps created these thick layers of ice everywhere in Bend and Central Oregon.

Bugsy. The one cat remaining. I found him as a kitten in the alley behind our old house, he was hunting bugs. He turns 11 this year and will likely be the last cat we’ll have, at least for a very long while.

I happened upon this cool creation when walking through Tokyo. Called Ni-Tele Really Big Clock, it is made entirely of hand-worked copper and steel plates. 12 meters tall x 18 meters long, it contains 32 separate moving mechanical features.

I thought I grew a super-sized cabbage at 7 1/2 lbs but then I saw a pic of my grandmother with her 11 1/2 lb cabbage!

Beautiful!
Ugh. I’m sorry. Hold tight to that thread! Things will improve.
She did not like him, that I could understand.
Tin Hau temple, Lamma Island, Hong Kong, 2019.
On this tiny island outside this tiny temple, a Chinese woman, in very broken English, asked me if I liked Trump.
The world is watching.

This was a happy time, hiking and camping at Havasu Falls with my then boyfriend (now husband) along with my older brother. Happier even when I saw this little beauty.

Thank you. Not like I created it myself. Lol. But it is one of my favorite pictures. The view is already stupendous but throw in some alpenglow and it’s beyond beautiful.
These hoodlums have learned how to find us up at the house. Here they are, looking in the window, happy to have found "mom."
Not sure of their purpose, they don't eat all the things we want them to. But they do make us laugh!
