I regret my life choices. Got my covid and flu shot yesterday. Should've waited to a Friday.

Something I've realized over the years of trying to write is that I seem to be decent at coming up with world building ideas and characters pretty well, but get stumped on plots for those characters to work through. Need to think on this more.

I suspect the ultimate bonk me in the head silly answer is "Anything that gets you to write is good. Just WRITE."

As I begin to contemplate trying to sit down to write seriously, I pondered writing essentially fanfic, and if that was a good place to start, and then I remembered the number of author friends I have who started out in franfic or are writing franchise tie-in novels is >0, so..

I have had sushi. The world may be a total dumpster fire, but there is still sushi, and that's definitely something.

Working this year's OryCon somehow made me realize that somehow, as I'm nearing 50, giving zero fucks about masking, about presenting any way except how I want to, and existing as a person with disabilities, has somehow made me more confident and more attractive than I ever thought possible. Neat.

Picked up a notebook to start writing down story ideas and bits into. Maybe I can finally put something together.
