Mind you, I am not saying that actors should just slam together a random demo if they aren’t skilled. I’m stating that, if a talent feels ready, they should at least make a basic one to throw at smaller projects.

Down the line they can invest in higher quality demos but yeah.

I would like to have a conversation with folks who sway actors away from having a basic demo when they feel ready to audition for things.

With how the indie industry is more keen on demo drops and calls instead of standard audition sides, not having a demo seems limiting.

Anyone with an illness/disability can get them, so it’s just a matter of reminding yourself that it happens. Welcome to being human.

I don’t teach classes :)

My students became such after working with them in ASMR and their honest eagerness to improve professionally s voice actors with my guidance. As I work with them, I teach tricks and skills as well as offer advice for them to use in their paths to becoming professional.

I like seeing my students improve their skills :)

Whether it be through my guidance or the lessons they get from classes and others, it’s a shot of fresh air to know that growth is continuous.

After all, I’m still learning myself. I hope they continue to grow and want to do so.

If you wanted smaller numbers, work with a private roster or set your deadline to be a week long only.

Casting early means you don’t care about the actors. Period. You just wanna finish.
