Confirmed UK Government projects in Scotland – including support for regional productivity through development funding for Carbon Capture, investment in advanced manufacturing in Glasgow, and the reinstatement of support for the UK’s most powerful supercomputer in Edinburgh – highlights the government’s commitment to boosting productivity across the country. Broader questions remain however, over the coordination of such policies with the Scottish Government’s own economic development plans.

Colin's accolade, for his long-standing dedication to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, was presented to him at the 2025 Investment Summit in Ottawa in April.
