So a major criteria on which I judge all religions is how effective it is at discouraging people from suicide
If there is one single positive thing that religion can do, it’s discourage people from suicide
her ugly crying face is everything to me
You know what. You’re right.
LOL my bio knowledge may be extremely outdated, but I thought we were still having some disagreements about what technically counts as a fish
What do we think about fish as a concept though
Oh, I feel that, I definitely buy plates with that in mind. Most stuff without gilding can go in the dishwasher though!
Thank you! I’m absolutely obsessed with plates and dishes 🙈
Honestly, I spent less than I would have buying them new and also LOOK at these
Just spent too much money on a set of vintage chawanmushi bowls from Etsy. Zero regrets honestly.
this CANT be real
My other pet peeve is when people refer to cats as apex predators. No they are not.
It was a mistake to leave me unsupervised.
friend, this is Marcus Junius Brutus
CAESAR has declared himself DICTATOR FOR LIFE and MUST BE STOPPED
can you rush a donation of ten denarii today to show that you STAND WITH THE REPUBLIC?
I agree AND I know several people who would be really into this
oh YES actually since they asked for shocking your answer is way better than mine
“Nobody can take characters seriously as warriors when they look like the Keebler elves” fine I’ll just take my toys and go home
His campaign ads would milk this
Get your shots kids
me demonstrating why nobody at work invites me to parties: actually lions and tigers are a completely different genus—
I try really, really hard not to succumb to the kind of thinking where only people at a certain level of “intelligence”/education are worth debating, but if your opinion cannot be swayed by evidence or logic there is simply nothing I can do
I’m honestly not saying this to be a hater, I respect the work, I just get sick of the knock offs
I think if he showed up and announced he was doing this for us, because he had to, Dante, I would find him a whole lot less sympathetic
I hope the costume designers for The Vikings are proud of themselves because they managed to design an aesthetic, almost totally separate from historical costume, for the age that everyone apparently thinks is attractive and believable enough to be used in every period piece since
I was not just calling them vikingr because I didn't want to sound pretentious but in retrospect I've probably already lost that battle
the vikings (profession) in AC Vahalla look like a cross between the actual Viking age and Fallout raiders but at least the actual Viking age was an ingredient, so I'll take it
"I'm doing this awful thing for my own sake because I don't want to spend my life powerless, terrified, and suffering" is at least a morally consistent position, & frankly one I can respect
I love S&B! yeah I've cooked with squid ink & IMO it doesn't add enough flavor to be worth it in a curry
(with the exception of his soldier's honor) I think he would find it more embarassing to tell Dante "I'm doing this for you, too" than to let him believe he's totally selfish
one of the things I like about him as a character who does a lot of awful shit is he never tries to convince anyone that it's morally justified--in fact, it seems like he's mostly given up on the idea of morality altogether.
