Under normal circumstances, distributors DO NOT COME TO YOU when you're making SAG ultra low budget indie films. That this happened makes me wonder if the industry collapse has now cleared out the backlog -

I just got a cold-call email from a smaller distributor asking about taking our sci-fi movie, Sideslip, to AFM. The only way I figure this happens is they're searching through IMDb and filtering for movies that are in post, then reaching out to ones they think they might be able to sell.

MAGA has proven itself to be untrustworthy with power, so we'll need to become more like the EU to protect our state's citizens from being murdered.

I think there's going to be a period of de-federalization coming up. California and other blue states need to protect themselves from this or worse happening again.

We need an infantry division back at Fort Ord. The leadership of that division needs to be approved by California.

One thing I think helps protect America, to a degree, is geographically dispersed economic power organized into the different states. So Newsom or Pritzker have tools to fight back and the economic clout to make it work.

Yah, charismatic buffoon gets elected for the lolz, then gets allowed to run the government in full buffoon mode, and is attempting to run it in authoritarian buffoon mode, but Trump doesn't have Chavez levels of control yet.
