Upscaled to 2560x1440p integer scale.
My next project: OSSC Pro profiles. π
About 30% finished. I plan to cover NTSC & PAL region and the same range of consoles as with the R4k profiles: DC, GC + GBI, GEN/MD, SMS, N64, NES, PS1, PS2, PSP, SAT, SNES, Wii, XBOX, ... and maybe few CRT profiles.

- A bit sharper than thefoo83 cable that I own
- Supports 480p but no 480i/240p support. Almost all DC games support 480p or can be forced to 480p: consolemods.org/wiki/Dreamca...
- Din-15/VGA input on your TV or scaler required!
- 3.5mm jack audio out
- price and release date TBA

Important: Update Retrotink 4k PRO/CE firmware to version 1.93 or later in order to have access to smooth I/P feature: retrotink-llc.github.io/firmware/4k-...
(In any case I would recommend to update to 1.9.9 experimental version)

This is a great base to update to! With future updates I may add just few small tweaks or new profiles.

Judging by the infromation I collected from different sources about the Hispeedido PS1/PS2 hdmi mods: not worth the costs and effort. Scaling seemes messed up with PS2 512x resolution games. It crops the image with PS1 games 384x res games. Most likely also with 512x and 640x res
26.08.2025 18:16 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The wifi features I have tested worked flawlessly except for one fixed issue. So I think it's a nice to have feature that gives your more comfort.
Would you consider Wifi and the features as high or low priority when making the decision to buy a retro gaming scaler?
Only two retro gaming scalers support wifi: GBS-C and Morph 4K. The latter gives you the option to update firmware & profiles wireless. You can also manage microsd card content via Web Gui without removing the card.
Would like to read your opinion. Checkout my second post π
Some good and bad news about the release of the OSSC PRO Legacy AV board with RF input. You can now buy one directly from marqs but it's uncertain if the board will be sold on VGP in the future. Details π

Some GBA games use flicker to create transparency. Enabling "LCD Blending" on the Retrotink 4K CE/Pro can recreate transparency with these games.πIt's not a new feature but perhaps some of you didn't know the benefit?!

Small correction about "auto profile loading per analog input" on the Retrotink 4K CE shown in the first image. What I ment is auto profile loading per analog console depending on the switch input.
18.07.2025 17:06 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Feel free to comment if and how you use auto presets on the Morph 4k and your general expierence with the feature. Would be interested to read.
18.07.2025 16:36 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0As a final suggestion: I would like to see the auto preset feature simplified (or better documented) to be more intuitive. I think many users will be confused by the number of options, the setting names and also understanding the differences between presets and auto presets
(7/7)
Considering the fact manual presets can already store different values like scale per 240p,288p,480i, 576i etc. (same with the R4k CE and to small extent with the OSSC PRO), the one issue and the limitations I recommend to stick with manual presets/profiles for analog consoles
(6/7)
The issue is how proportional scale is applied between interlaced and progressive resolutions with generic sampling. With auto preset disabled scale can be applied independently between 240p and 480i. With auto presets enabled that is not the case.
(5/7)
With analog consoles the benefits are little at best (as right now) compared to manual presets. For example you could create one auto preset for 240p with scanlines enabled and one for 480i with scanlines disabled (check pic 3 and 4). There is one issue though...
(4/7)
The real benefits with that feature comes with hdmi (digital) sources. Auto load different scaler settings based on the game (via game-id), between Gamecube & GBI output, per game res. in XBOX Stellar direct mode, per hdmi system: N64Digital,PS1Digital,PS2 RetroGEM,...
etc.

Documentation about Morph 4k's preset auto-load feature: docs.pixelfx.co/Morph4K-Pres... I wish it would be more detailed for easier understanding of the differences between the options and their limits.
Here is how you enable the setting, create and load auto presets on the Morph 4k.
