and then try humming a melody in your head or record it to save for later, then you writing the lyrics will come after whenever you're to do so. They doesn't have to make sense all the time. I've written lyrics that don't make sense but they work when they have context. Just have fun <3 (2/2)
I always start by building a theme a first, what do you want the song to be about, what type of emotion will be the foreground for the song. I do think having a base for your instrumental is the best to start from, try messing with a simple chord progression with an instrument you like (1/2)
