The Iran war seems to be deepening the MAGA-America First schism in the GOP that began with Epstein. I don’t see how Vance can bridge that divide. MAGA will hate him for distancing himself from Trump on those issues and America First won’t forget that he was complicit in them in the first place.

I don’t think Mulcair fumbled it. He was leading in the polls for a time in that 2015 election. The electorate wanted a non-CPC government and coalesced around the Liberals in the end. I think Mulcair’s problem was that he was too temperamentally similar to Harper, to the benefit of Trudeau.
