Kostas Tsimikas is injured meaning that Liverpool currently have four injured left-backs. Tsimikas, Beck, Chambers, Scanlon.
James Norris has been somewhat of a regular in first-team training. Clae Ewing I wouldn’t expect to be near but he’s really impressing for LFC U18s.
It feels likes it’s been forever: Academy football is back.
Liverpool U18s play Birmingham in the U18 Premier League Cup with The Reds standing a good chance of going through currently sitting second. Havent often got out the group in recent years.
Jayden Danns and Rio Ngumoha in first-team training today.
Danns might have a real chance in the absence of Jota to impress.
Jayden Danns coming back is a massive boost for the academy, in particular Liverpool’s UEFA Youth League run; he adds an extra dimension to what is an already exciting attack.
We could see a front three of Ngumoha, Danns, Kone-Doherty.
Or Ranel Young in too for either winger.
Ben Doak is on top form; one of the best young players in Europe. Arne Slot’s arrival at LFC suggested he had different ideas both of and for Doak than his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp. Doak trained with the U21s. Hopefully there’s plans for LFC integration.

Liverpool U18 played a friendly during this international break against i2i Academy.
Not sure on score but involved: Prince Cisse, Luca Furnell-Gill, Kareem Ahmed, Lucas Pitt, Joe Bradshaw, Ollie O’Connor, Clae Ewing, Harry Evers and DJ Esdaille.
Aaron Zamor scored for i2i.
He’s a star. My opinion holds no more weight than anyone else but as someone who pays close attention to the academy, in my opinion, Ben Doak is the best player to play in the Liverpool academy since Raheem Sterling
