First battle with a dragon in last Friday’s master tier adventure for Shadow of the Weird Wizard.
Fighting on open ground definitely favors the dragon. Players did well, but some almost died. Thankfully they hurt it badly enough that it retreated. Time to beard it in its lair next session.
Yassssss
Nice. VtM was the reason I first checked out a Joy Division cassette (or was it a CD?) from my local library in high school.
Had a fun game session tonight with the family. Playing the Hyperborea 2e RPG by way of the Gunderholfen megadungeon campaign. I’ve got a ranger, a warlock, and a magic-user. A little t of mapping, some fights with kobolds. ‘Twas a good evening.
Had to look up the Marvelous Magic book. Very cool. This BECMI book was the game I started playing D&D with as a kid.
With a TSR copy of Gamma Workd on it? Probably. Awesome game though.
Yes.
This thread is fricking hilarious Jim. Especially those sweet variant titles. They’re the icing on the AI cake (made of manure underneath, donchaknow).
Awesome. Big fan here.
Very cool. Thanks. Looks like I can buy The Colour Forge from their USA distributor now. Cool.
Nice. What color are you priming in?
Awe yeah. D&D and Metal go together like peanut butter and jelly. I’ve been listening to Castle Rat for a while. Lots of good fantasy Metal out there. The Sword is another favorite of mine.
Started running this, our first adventure for the newly minted master level heroes, Friday night. I’m really enjoying this Shadow of the Weird Wizard campaign. PCs are getting pretty powerful at this level, so I’ll be interested to see if I can really challenge them with this one.
Man oh man. There are very few things I like as much as a three day weekend. Except a four day weekend.
I’m so glad I swore off Spotify long ago, and many of my favorite bands are on platforms that they can make some money on.
How thick the *tome. Sigh.
Ha. Nope, just a thick book. I took it at this angle so I could show the cover and how thick the time was. Alas, I don’t know that it does a good job of showing either, but it’s out there now.
Awww yeah. That’s the stuff. #DnD #OSR #Megadungeon
Great list! I’ve got to remember how rare it is to have a regular RPG group like mine. Good luck with all your other endeavors.
Ever played Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup? There was a period of time when several members of my game group were addicted to it.
Yep. I remember a summer VtM campaign after high school that included a Highlander PC from some online source a friend had around 1996.
Yes please. Lucky Man. The Drugs Don’t work. Bittersweet Symphony. So dang good.
This album IS high school me.
Heck yeah.
This please. The sound of youth and freedom and bittersweet memory.
Rad. How’s Dolmenwood going?
Just don’t look at the price tag on that Mutalith Vortex Beast box over there.
