Started a new goal on Ko-Fi for a new art tablet. Part of the reason I haven't posted anything new is that my old one stopped working (and the pen disappeared on me on top of that). I still draw and doodle in my sketchbooks, but posting photos of them just isn't the same 😅

We could keep it clean, but when only 2 of us regularly (I use that word loosely) clean and we both struggle with executive function, and 1 person uses the house as his personal storage unit for a billion tools and parts and random stuff acquired "just because"... Well. You can imagine, right?

I don't HAVE to narrow my passions. All of the things that I've been struggling to choose between actually work together perfectly in a very, very obvious setting.

I need to open a used bookstore.

Today I had something of an epiphany.

I've spent the last 10 years trying to figure out how to either narrow my passions down enough to have a solid, locked in career, or completely letting my passions wilt and wither while I work retail and slowly die inside from burnout.

Today I realized:

My main goal for 2026 is to open up my online shop and start selling enough that I can quit my job.

I just have to. Yknow. Make the stuff for the damn store.

A raging head and neck ache from clenching my jaw too much, stiffness in my shoulders, and just overall misery.

I'm really hoping I can get some new insurance set up soon. But honestly, Ive been having more and more days where I feel like this job is killing me.

Being unpleasant people, and it felt like it was so constant (even though looking back, it was surely less than half of my customers) that I just couldn't catch my breath and recenter no matter how hard I tried.

By the time I got home, I was struggling with my usual post shift aches, PLUS -

Normally can. Most days customers being jackasses just rolls off my back cause I know it's not me, it's them. But yesterday was ROUGH. I had people interrupting me/other customers, cutting the line, snapping at me, throwing tantrums because they read coupons/sale signs wrong, and just generally -

Yesterday, I don't know if it was the cold or what, but customers were being extra aggressive and rude most of my shift, and I was just not handling it as well as I -
