i understand the fears around brainchips honestly, just, being at hacking risk of your own mind is inherently terrifying but, nothing really comes without risk, and honestly there will be people who'd take that risk and i won't blame them for that at all

though for that i'd expect VR tech to get to the level where you can literally just wear what are basically glasses and get to that level

that or someone just makes a brain chip that highjacks the visual/sensory areas of the brain

it might just be my biases but it seems like alot of hope for this tech is just people ( fairly ) wanting to just disconnect from the real world and wanting to exclusively have a digital world, type, thing, to live in
