They're built up to be such a powerful being that when you strip it away, when you slowly whittle away at their dominance or infect their mind, all of that is a perfect mark of a corruptor's power. It takes skill and it takes power, but making them go from what they are meant to be to what they are-

As to put it into writing here, I am of the opinion that dragons are the ideal being to corrupt. Given their grandiose form and overall expected disposition of dominance, managing to chip that away or outright break it is something great to see a corruptive being do.
