Starting my week back in Ottawa, it was a pleasure to welcome Margot to Parliament Hill. As part of McGill’s Women in House program, she and her peers travelled to Ottawa this week to learn more about public service and leadership.

It was my honour yesterday to join Prime Minister Mark Carney and my colleagues for Iftar at the South Nepean Muslim Community mosque.

Music with purpose.

It was my pleasure to attend the Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestra’s St. Patrick’s Concert this past Sunday and see our community come together for such a wonderful afternoon of music, dance, and generosity.

I was also proud to highlight several Halton organisations such as SAVIS and Halton Women’s Place, whose work continues to support, protect, and empower women in our community and beyond.

When we support and elevate women, we strengthen our communities and build a stronger Canada.

When women succeed, Canada succeeds.

Today, it was my honour to rise in the House of Commons to mark International Women’s Day and recognize its importance.

It was a privilege to speak, reflect on the progress we’ve made, and recognize the work still ahead to build a more equal future for women and girls.

This Friday, it was my honour to once again visit the Halton Regional Police Service to learn more about how artificial intelligence is being used to help keep our communities safer and more secure.

The Dinner Party is a highlight of International Women’s Day each year, raising support for SAVIS of Halton and Right To Learn Afghanistan.

It was an honour to attend yesterday evening and hear a keynote that was both inspiring and uplifting.

Grateful to hear Fallon Farinacci’s powerful story of strength and resilience, and to see a sold-out room supporting Halton’s only women’s shelter.
