A Community Centre Evicted, Grassroots Groups Dispersed – The Rover The 15 community organizations that operated in Centre William-Hingston in Parc-Ex were forced out when the CSSDM took back the building. While some services relocated, others closed for good.

Dozens of Montreal’s community organizations have operated out of buildings owned by the CSSDM since the 2020 education reform. These spaces could be reclaimed at any time, leaving organizations vulnerable to eviction. That's what happened to the 15 groups at William-Hingston.

A Mohawk cannabis dispensary was burned early this morning in Kanesatake.

Firefighters were called to the territory around 3:15 a.m. and quickly discovered “elements that led them to believe the fire was a case of arson,” at Sweet Grass Lodge, according to SQ.
