I had a dream that I visited our local jazz radio's broadcasting station. one of the morning broadcasters let me do a quick set on the air, where I proceeded to play dave brubeck's "strange meadow lark" and the theme song to yoshi's story

So many people I know, myself included, WANT to contribute MORE to our nation and our society. So many lost teachers and mentors and parents etc. But they have been effectively priced out of this. They cannot afford to become or sustain what they know is right for them and their community.

hey, I can tell y'all that I worked on music for this game! I'm in the credits! on a physical SNES cartridge!

I helped @randallinden.bsky.social bring to life several more classic DOOM tunes on the SNES's sound chip, expanding its soundtrack while working with the game's original sound driver!

I'm so proud of all the things I do and make, but it feels like I'm participating in some big song & dance just to share that with people who are over-inundated with """content""" already. it's not the vibe I want but it just feels like this is where we're at.

I hate using social media as a Promotional Vehicle too but see no better option - and I exhausted myself from personal blogposting 10+ years ago. I justify the self-promo with the presumption that I've got to go to bat for myself, because who else is going to? but I do find it unnatural and un-fun.

The Super MIDI Pak Collab album will be released Friday, July 11th at 3PM EDT. All tracks play natively on the SNES and we're distributing a ROM and SPCs. We're doing a listening party at that time on YouTube, link in the replies!
