If the league really wanted to grow the game, they'd make more of an effort to help kids whose parents don't make 80k/year to be able to play.
My local arena had a store room with spare equipment to loan until they got their own.
The league also does nothing to help make the game cheaper and easier for people to begin playing the game.
When I started playing sticks were at most $50 and my pads were a couple hundred in total.
Now a single stick cost as much as all my equipment did combined.
Not to mention league fees.
