We need Pete Buttigieg as a clear messenger, more than ever.
Agreed but the 2 aren’t mutually exclusive.
Omg I basically can’t read, sorry!
A glimmer of hope to see an article like this in The Nation, maybe?

I agree. I received better customer service from Ghost.org (yes, its a nonprofit tech co) than I have from almost any other enterprise, ever. Ritz Carlton level service. And the stuff works. It's easy. The resources are great. No need to sit next to Nazis. What's not to love?
I know Stathis. He was a colleague of mine at the University of Chicago. He is a pretty buttoned-down scholar. For him to tweet this out is… something.
I have friends who are genuinely confused when I point out to them that being politically engaged is a luxury item lots of folks don't invest time or money into. They don't think deeply about politics until and unless it directly affects them. It's an alien thought (and I get it!), but it's true.
I think the reason people are frustrated with Democratic leaders is that they expect these elected representatives to act like a real disaster is happening, which it is. Four-day weekends and bratwurst junkets in Munich kind of undercut that
This is a program for teenagers with serious disabilities who are finishing high school and transitioning to their next steps in life. Trump just axed it, effective immediately, in the middle of the night, with no notice.
I had a #Costco membership even when I lived in a studio apt. Some things aren’t so bulky to store. Others I’d split with neighbors by pre-planned purchases. I find the membership pays for itself in a couple months or less, esp. with some pizza lunches for $2/slice, travel svc., etc.
This song I’d never heard came on at the #gym, but it didn’t sound like a song, just words. So I was thinking “what kind of weirdo is having this conversation about a smelly sweater on #FaceTime at the gym?!”: Meryn Cadell - “The Sweater”. I want my #yachtrock back :)

Congratulations on a job well done to all the kids on college campuses who bravely stood up to Genocide Joe

Approximately 1 in 6 Union Navy servicemen during the Civil War was Black, and unlike the Union Army, the Navy was integrated. For a good historical start on this subject, see Joseph P. Reidy's essay: www.archives.gov/publications...
Was literally talking to the union representing federal air traffic controllers earlier today about how there’s already a major shortage of air traffic controllers and the resignation offers they all just got from OPM could seriously endanger public safety.

Jennifer Coolidge is so hilarious and brilliant. Can’t wait for this movie. Even a couple years later, whenever I hear someone say “you got this”, I smile and think of #Tanya

Hooray @bsky.app and #ThankYouBlueSky
Only fans of #TheSopranos will understand this pic showing how it’s felt being in the US this past (can it be only?) week and a half.
And check your credit cards: some have a fee credit. Yeah they’re usually premium cards but still.
I’ll be honest here, the only times I’ve contacted Alaska Customer Service, it’s been to give kudos. Like any business, I’m sure others have had some poor experiences, but I shorthand it for friends who never flew them: “it’s like Nordstrom in the air” :) #AlaskaAirlines
Were this a job interview, and it is one, and the Dems need to learn when to party-line vote like the Repubs who do it 99.99% of the time (aside from the Oscar worthy performances from 2 northern latitude areas):
In #WesternWashington state and the #Seattle area, a forecast of a “light dusting of snow” usually means 1/2 to 1 foot or more. With notable exceptions “historic blizzard” means fair skies. Please forgive me for actually writing out the worst obscenity in the English language: sn*w

BlueSky is a great alternative to that bird/letter/whatever for public posts and soon for photo and video sharing.
But where’s the replacement for “I want to share this with my college pals but not the public not even all my friends”?
Once there’s that, yeah done with other platforms.
The TIFFANY PROBLEM occurs when a historical novel or film contains details that seem too modern to be true but are in fact correct for the time. The name Tiffany is one such example, it dates back to at least the 12th century.
#Spring can never come a moment too soon! 🌸 Beautiful picture, @sakuranoyume.bsky.social :)
Some fascinating things happening on Reddit. 22,000 upvotes on the subreddit dedicated to posting pictures of houses that are over 100 years old.
