Unless games actually make it onto BBC telly, this isn’t that much of a step up. TNT’s ‘ugh do we have to?’ coverage of the PWR so far has badly let the fans down and the fact the league is now spread over multiple platforms is not a fan first approach. This is not a new product.

Yes we'll have to rely on PWR and Super W/Aupiki for a while longer but we don't need 7s crossovers anymore and we definitely don't need cameo players! Look at the massive WER talent already!
Not to mention, while having players all on the same continent (let alone country) was highly unlikely in the past, it's not now. Requirements like playing seasons in WER need to be set - no more rugby moonlighters or perpetual wanderers when can be helped!
There does need to be a change of mindset along the lines of what Ben was getting at, though. Individual talent means very little once you get to the level USAR are aiming for. Systems have to be developed and tweaked, and players need to play in best positions, not "butts in seats" stuff
