The six principles of patient partnership: Treating patients as equals
Patients who are fully informed
Shared decision-making and patient partnership
Recognising inequalities
Seeking patient input
Joining services around patients

🤝 Patient partnership is the engine of better outcomes, safer care, and more efficient services. When the system is under strain, partnership isn’t a luxury. It’s the lever that helps services work smarter, fairer, and with purpose.

Wanna get notified when somebody adds you to a starter pack, list etc.?
Then this is for you! 🤍

I'm still testing it, but it looks promising.

During Covid lockdown, if you had family round on Christmas Day the police could force their way into your home and make them return to their own homes.
Does anybody know if this service is still available and, if so, do you have to book it?

If you think more privitisation is good for the NHS.

Ask yourself, why hasn't it helped with water? Or energy? Or transport? Or in fact anything ever?

Rivers full of sewage, energy bills through the roof whilst record profits are recorded and disrupted expensive travel. Let this be a warning.

Low light casts long shadows across the Henge at Avebury, Wiltshire. There are a number of the stones from the circle in the image surrounded by grassland and trees in the distance.

It’s #StandingStoneSunday so we sharing this wonderful picture from #Avebury by Emma Weston. Like many of our places, Avebury is closed today due to high winds. There are two special winter walks coming up with @drnickarchaeo.bsky.social in December: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/wiltsh...

Just your regular reminder that laboratory reference intervals rely on the following assumptions

✨Gaussian distribution of values
✨Healthy population
✨2.5% of population on either side is out of range

Therefore they may or may not be relevant to any individual clinical decision making

How outsourcing has contributed to England’s social care crisis Benjamin Goodair and colleagues argue that growth of private provision in adult social care in England has resulted in worse care and should be rolled back Adult social care in England is in crisis. ...

New paper in @bmj.com today:

We show how public provision of adult social care has nearly ended over the last 20 years.

We argue it has done so a) worsening the quality of care b) reducing accessibility of services and c) increasing inequalities.
