🗽 Nikole Hannah-Jones on Democracy, Resistance & the Politics of Memory

On 30 September, Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and creator of The 1619 Project, @nhannahjones.bsky.social, returns to De Dépendance for a conversation on the erosion of democracy and the tools for resistance.

We, as a platform dedicated to fostering critical debate, are particularly proud to see Sereh's nuanced analysis of architectural value, urban development, and sustainability being rewarded.

The jury praised her ability to weave together historical context, contemporary architectural discourse, and pressing questions about Rotterdam's architectural future.

Her winning article ‘Alles van waarde’ (Everything of Value) critically examines the transformation plans of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
