It’s funny they landed the mark with zakumint (my beloved) (even if u don’t ship them I think most people would admit their relationship is very solid in new) pretty well but everything else feels controversial

I could be bullshitting out of my ass though I haven’t rewatched new in awhile this is just from what I remember

I think one of the factors that drew me into mint on my many rewatches is actually seeing her mature as the series goes on she becomes less stand offish she learns to stand up for herself and others and with new from what I remember has already matured and just needed people to take her seriously

but u can’t argue the fact that they are nearly completely different characters, their motives and character arcs are widely different

I won’t get into the argument of which mint is better because surprisingly I’ve seen a lot of differing opinions but the consistency of them is that people who did not like og mint like new mint more and people who like og mint do not like new mint (im in that boat)
