They said multicolor (no dash) is better.

I totally agree with all your points. Great write-up! One thing we made sure to do my time at the Washington Post was to ensure that any props that were not code had a prefix 🄵 so folks had a sign that it was a figma only prop as I found somethings because of the tool just had to exist
