This is the reality of what it is like in Minnesota right now. The district I represent in Burnsville is one of the most targeted communities in the state. There are ICE agents everywhere. We will not let them operate in silence or without witnesses.
MLK Jr.’s legacy feels especially urgent this year. He taught us that justice requires courage, community, and action. In the face of fear and threats to our freedoms in Minnesota, his call for dignity and peaceful resistance continues to guide us forward together.
On Friday, I visited a family run farm in Northfield. I heard firsthand how Trump’s tariffs are hurting Minnesota farmers and shared how I plan to fight for them in Congress. Farmers are the backbone of Minnesota and I'm looking forward to representing them in Congress!

Trump’s massive ICE deployment has been terrorizing our community for weeks and led to the killing of Renee Good. As an elected official, I’ll fight to keep every Minnesotan safe. Peaceful protest is a right, and we must stand united against fear and intimidation.
Trump’s DOJ wants to investigate Renee Good’s widow instead of holding the ICE agent who killed her accountable.
Federal prosecutors––including Trump’s handpicked acting US Attorney––resigned rather than take part in this injustice.
Trump’s agenda was never about our safety.
The largest deployment of ICE agents in US history is happening right now in Minnesota. Masked agents are tearing through our neighborhoods, showing up at schools, and violently creating chaos.
I commend Keith Ellison for taking action to end this and protect our families.
