BIPOC PoP is a mind-bending experience, gathering academics and artists in a way that I have never seen before. Big thanks to everyone who made this happen and of course to Frederick Luis Aldama who has fine-tuned that LatinX Cerebro!

But mostly I think this is a new direction in the way you are thinking about it. Very cool @s.qiouyi.lu!
Wow, cool ideas! There's Reyes Cardenas' "Los Pachucos y La Flying Saucer" 1975, and some kid lit works like Lowriders in Outer Space 2014. You can see Bladerunner in this light as well with EJO's Pachuco. We have a car club at UNM I'll ask around and see if anything else pops up. Keep it going!!!
Xicanxfuturism is a new and fierce codex that editors Scott Duncan and Jenny Irizary have expertly painted with art, theory, and narrative. It's a lucha libre with migrant futurisms, Chicanx Manifestos, and gritty esperanzas on the mat as they face off against colonialism, racism, and capitalism.

Many years ago Richie and I had a meeting with an artist and the artist was kind of rude and the project didn't work out. It happens. But then Richie suggested we create our own performance of the Alien Space Queen de Puerto Rico.
And here we are now making a super cool book! tinyurl.com/2x4rp52h
In Alex Hernandez's short story "El Gato Gris," Agent Araceli Turey’s first clue in solving the La Palmita Nursing Home murders comes from a psychometric vision, in which she arrives at a 1930s nightclub in Havana headlined by the devilish trickster El Gato Gris.
