These are wonderful and capture the aura of these places so well, especially the Astoria Bridge. Out of curiosity, is the one in the desert the Crooked River Railroad Bridge? It looks very similar, and I've been lucky enough to pass by it a few times throughout my life.
I always liked how that particular Solaris poster was more symbolic and representative of the spirit of the film than literal. It’s also absolutely gorgeous.

Lighting, but particularly the *weird quirks* of lighting, in principle. I’ve built up a large knowledge of how lighting works through writing shaders and software raytracers. I’ll often say stuff like “I need to add fresnel to this,” lol. In practice, though, I still have a lot to learn.
