I was thinking the RF from thousands of transmitters around the world could hit a wave peak simultaneously somewhere random & make a spark, blow out a receiver’s front end, cause a flicker of aurora… something like that.

I looked that up, & found several common things that don’t seem to apply.

Yes, strong recommend. That’s my early warning that 6m is hot on the East Coast, & that I should anticipate it may move this far West later in the day.

So with that, I know at a glance if a band is unusually hot where I’m at. Can take a quick break to try to get something rarely heard here on 6m, for example.

There are 4 screens in my shack. One is nearly always on HamClock. Another nearly always on TheHolyCluster.

The other 2 are normal work computer, and the Ham HF computer. Station sits on FT8 almost 24x7, band-hopping, so that HamClock can display stations heard all bands past hour.

Heh, yeah, gotta be judicious with the filters. But making the filters is easier (for me) than doing same in a traditional cluster.

I don’t care that they’re heard. I care that they were heard in Minnesota. etc.

Yeah, I’ve got a couple cluster-improved things I use entirely because they’re friendlier than traditional telnet clusters. HamAlert in particular.
