Panels are facilitated question-and-answer sessions with expert discussants, while SIGs advance understanding and community around specific areas of interest. Past CSCW or CHI SIGs may be excellent topics for CSCW 2025 panels! SIG sessions may seed research papers, or new conferences and workshops.

We are open to all topics that will stimulate thoughtful discussion relevant to CSCW practitioners and scholars. We are especially interested in topics of interest to diverse groups (geographically, methodologically, domains, etc.) within the CSCW community.

The 🎤 Call for Panels and SIGs 💬 for #CSCW2025 is now out.

CSCW panels discuss provocative, controversial, innovative, emerging, boundary-spanning, and boundary-breaking issues. SIGs allow more informal meetings.

It will be a Fall conference, likely October. Papers submitted to the May, 2025 deadline will be published much earlier than October, 2026 — in line with prior CSCW turnaround times (~6-8 months to publication).
