Fiction, sports, fountain pens, mass transit, music. I like writing... whatever you call it. ๐คญ I don't use ay-eye to draw, write, or perform my stuff. (UTC+8 ๐ต๐ญ) He/him/they โ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ ๐๐พโพ๏ธ๐ฅ
Serendipity! ๐ This story made me smile.
28.10.2025 08:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's so crazy. And kinda sounds so out of tune with economic (and historical) reality too. ๐
18.10.2025 00:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So we were sold the idea that analog paper stuff are so passรฉ to sell us gadgets and computers. And then many years later, analog is sold back to us at exorbitant costs because it's "novel" at a digitalized age.
*sigh* yay capitalism
No. We won't be joining Inkventory. Neither should you.
It's a completely open database where marginalized authors are self-identifying and giving their contact information.
We are living in a fascist state. Hate crimes are celebrated by our President.
Really cool! I see you've done shading on it too!

Junji Ito inspired fountain pen hand-painted on Muji Preppy and Clear Pilot Kakuno. Both will be available for sale at CosMeet 2025, Okada Manila on October 25 - October 26 ๐ปโจ
30.09.2025 09:00 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Really frustrating to see the same false information spread every year. Guy trademarked his logo, not Inktober. He did it because he didn't want big brands to profit from it for free.
28.09.2025 05:02 โ ๐ 55 ๐ 31 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 2And to think it's designed so that it fits almost every Pilot pen. It feels like the center of compromise for otherwise great pens. ๐
On that note, I find that the CON-40 seems to behave better with my Metropolitan than in my Kakรผnos. Easier to get air bubbles out.
I prefer nibs with a bit of feedback these days. The feedback helps me with precise control of my lines, as I don't write in cursive. The nib resists a bit and gives me a tactile response of the stroke. I can imagine smooth gliders aiding writing that flows more than mine, though!

I'll have to give second thoughts about buying OUP books in the future.
Maybe Lamy Petrol?
17.09.2025 13:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A shame about the Ensso! But the E95s sounds really appealing to use. ๐
16.09.2025 00:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hopefully you'd eventually meet someone who can!
16.09.2025 00:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Is it a vintage pen?
15.09.2025 13:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I had my own experience of #1! I kept looking at my hand, wondering when it would go away. Around the second week since, it finally did. ๐
14.09.2025 03:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There won't be a shortage of ink capacity, that's for sure!
13.09.2025 16:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've also reached the point when I am not in a rush to get a new pen, because I've also gone beyond need and straight into careful collecting. It will take a bit of time before I decide on anything!
13.09.2025 16:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I really liked the feel of the Lamy 2k. It was very comfortable and substantial! And well, the Viper and the Skeleton are quite the visual pieces for me! Totally biased plus points for the Viper and the way it hoods the nib!
13.09.2025 15:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I was totally not ready to see this response. ๐คฃ
13.09.2025 15:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I know it's been almost 3/4 of a year before I revisited this thread. I've been meaning to respond to the posts here but the plan kept getting moved further and further! Well, all I can say is, finally! ๐
13.09.2025 15:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ok, so I looked at the Laban and Pelikan pens, and I really like those color combinations! ๐ฒ The Laban 235 looks so bright and pleasant, and the Pelikan M200 has a really striking blue and gold combination. I mean, sure, it's not the first of its kind, but it reminds me of a cool summer night sky!
13.09.2025 15:49 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A vacuum filler! I haven't tried it yet, but given how Pilot nibs are so consistent, I bet writing with it feels good. โบ๏ธ I've only tried the Lamy 2000, and that one has a nice heft to it and writing feels soft. The Majohn looks cute, I have to say! ๐
13.09.2025 15:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The ones that always ready to have in hand! I get the impression that the Kakuno and the Sport has already established themselves as community favorites. โบ๏ธ That said, the Sailor has a classic look and form that I like!
13.09.2025 15:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Your set looks so classy! I am beginning to feel that marbled pen bodies might be my next personal trend. ๐คญ
13.09.2025 15:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So I looked up the Conklin Hippocrates, and I didn't know I wanted one. ๐ That design looks so cool -- medical and yet also somehow mystical!
13.09.2025 15:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I looked up the Pelikano and the EASYbuddy, and your choices look so vibrant! Somehow they also give me this pleasant nostalgic feel. โบ๏ธ
13.09.2025 15:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My Kakuno dries out pretty quickly compared to my other pens, too! I agree, you'd want one that doesn't dry out too quickly when left to sit for long periods of time. Platinum pens, like the Preppy, has a mechanism that's designed exactly for that. Or maybe you already have something in your set!
13.09.2025 15:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0All of them pretty durable! Maybe someday I'd want a TSWBI Vac, too. Someday!
