اندلعت الثورة السورية عام 2011 لأسباب عديدة منها الغضب الشعبي من إمعان السلطات في الإذلال وردود فعلها العنيفة على احتجاجات سلمية. هنا انطلق شعار “الشعب السوري ما بينْذَل”. والآن سقط النظام ولكنَّ ذلُّ الفقر لم ينته بعد، بل يُخشى من أن يشكِّل وقودًا للاضطرابات.

I bought great works in English and Arabic in this bookshop by Palestinian, Israeli and other authors. This Israeli security act is shameful and telling from a country that used in the past to claim it was the only democracy in this region.
