Day two of the mural project in San Pedro la Laguna Guatemala. Organized by Mayan artist Atuun Panloow and including local artists.

Mayan artists from Guatemala are repurposing an old mural in San Pedro la Laguna. It will portray images that speak to their Mayan roots and wisdom. These photos are from day one. We helped support this project by raising funds through GoFundMe. Stay posted to see the progress and finished mural!

Antigua Guatemala..one of my favorite towns in Mexico, Central America. I can just spend hours walking around taking in the colors, sounds, people... destroyed by earthquakes last century and now a fabulous mix of ruins and classic colonial architecture.

Disfrutando my last day here in Guatemala...a refuge of sanity, beauty, good humor, friendliness and incredible artistic talent, you know one of those "sh_ t hole" countries... with an incredibly rich culture and history, and an amazing open mindedness and open heartedness

Leaving tomorrow for Mérida Mexico to visit son and family there. Sorry I will miss the March 15 show. Plan to return next year around end of January.

Very heartening. Ironically, our best hope is in the "redneck"villas of america. Sidenote: my understanding is that the term redneck first came from coal mine protestors of Pueblo CO who wore red scarves around their necks

Hi Sorry for the late reply... didn't see your response until now. Mostly focused on San Pedro, San Juan. Know some people in Pana with connections with artists there. Do you have some recommendations?

SOS... save our souls, save our society, save our sanity

And we will need to act very strategically to assure that we don't burn out at the start. This will be a marathon. We need to use our energy, time and resources carefully and with greatest effect. And make sure we don't become marionettes responding and controlled by every action they take.

Thank you! Yes, we need to pause, collect ourselves, respond strategically, not knee jerk like his puppet, puppets of the media.

Yes. Dems and too many of us being dragged into the vortex of trump. Don't get trumped! Take a breath. Stop. Think strategically. First all hands on deck for next 2 election cycles, AND we need to change hearts and minds.

YES!... this is where change will happen...local, grassroots. Also where red and blue can come together to discover that they share more in common than what divides them (orchestrated by certain politicians to divide in order to control and gain power)

There are alternatives...Libre Office is excellent

I believe the most radical thing we can do is adopt the MAGA hat. I believe the vast majority are " good people". We need to win their hearts and minds. We share much more than divides us. They win by dividing us. Yes, MAGA .. like it was before the orange guy.

This is my take: short term ( next election cycles, 2, 4 yrs) focus on Dem senate, house majority, Dem pres. Personally I think odds of change within the political system is close to nil, but we got to try. Next 30 days? Work together to come up with a coherent strategy.
