This year's GUDAGUDA has been a lot of fun as a Sengoku Jidai enthusiast. I get Okehazama references AND Shingen and Kenshin bickering.

Another for the Shinsengumi collection. I want to say I have them all? I'm digging Shinpachi so far, though he's no SHINSENGUMI DAAAAA (Hijikata) or Saito "Jim from the office looking into the camera" Hajime.

They can't care about art or human creativity. They most certainly cannot be passionate about the environment, sustainability, or their local communities. It seems unlikely that they have any pride in their own abilities.

So, what matters here?

In a lot of the genAI conversations I see in various places, I find myself wondering 'what does this person stand for?' and 'what do they actually believe in?', and I feel like answer I usually come away with is powerful self-interest - the desire to not have to earn, bargain, or respect balance.

Moved into the new place today and made sure to bring some important Japanese culture with me.

I really liked Starcraft.
