Fic summary: Mira's marked hand worsens, paining her even in sleep. Thom resolves to be an entirely different sort of anchor for her.

I don’t encounter many other games where I feel so engaged with the lore that I’m compelled to analyze sentence structure and potential disambiguations in codex entries. DA is a fantastic series (which has had its stumbles) & it is sad to know this is the truth.

The thing I found so unique about DA was that it played with unreliable narration & how truth is twisted w/ time & how history is told from a very specific perspective, begging a lot of interesting questions about how to interact w the world which I don’t see in many other games.

I used to think Ilariya (inky) would become a spirit of perseverance (with spiteful tendencies if left unchecked) but after writing her entire story, I rather think she’s a spirit of Change, now.

A crocheted Deep Dweller from Divinity: Original Sin 2. It's lying on its stomach with its arms out at its sides in a "sploot"-like pose. Displayed on a white backdrop, the piece is 24" long (61cm), 7" tall (18cm), and 9" wide (23cm). Crocheted with dark blue and black sparkly acrylic yarn (held double) and stuffed with Poly-Fil, it has several antennae along its head and back (with lighter blues on the tips to give it the appearance of glowing lights), along with fins (in a lighter grey/blue) atop and at the tip of its tail. The front legs end in clawed hands, while the rear legs end in fins.

Freehanding this was a complete and utter pain, but obviously there aren't patterns out there for super-specific fandom stuff like this, so I did what had to be done and tortured the fuck out of myself. Worth it, though!

Why, no, I’m not at all emotional replaying this knowing that I just wrote how she and Solas greet the end of eternity together in the exact location she stumbled out of the rift from. In the exact location solas first laid eyes on her.

I love this question! Ilariya was sooooooo sus of Solas. She instantly clocked him as hiding something. They had a really tumultuous start and fought pretty hard. It was the adversaries to lovers arc for them.

After 10 years Ilariya’s story is finally done and I can’t stop sobbing about it. What a ride. My OTP solavellan, the one OC who has stuck with me the most. 😭

I like how dark urge's journal is written in 2nd person. "You" do this, "you" feel that, while tavs and origins' journal is written as "I". Durge doesn't have control in his own journal. But when he rejects Bhaal, the journal is written in 1st person. "I escaped", he's free, and his body is his own.

my post VG hc breaks almost entirely with canon. The veil is down. Neither the titans’ spirits nor Solas and Ilariya are isolated. Harding is guiding the titans’ spirits back to the titans with a new relationship w the dwarves.

Time for a joyful hc:
After VG Solas becomes very close with Lavellan’s father. He teaches Solas woodworking and Solas then crafts a bow for Ilariya. They sit and chat all the time, exchanging wisdom. Solas learns the meaning of family from him, and trust, and how to just Be.
