Air pressure isobars outline lows off the south coast of Alaska, stretching eastward and south through Yukon, Northwest Territory, British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. It connects to another low in the Arctic circle, north of Alaska and west of the Canadian Arctic islands. A high pressure system is concentrated over Greenland, immediately adjacent to a low pressure system over northern Quebec that reaches into the northern extremity of Hudson's Bay. Another low pressure system sits off the coast of New England, south of the Maritimes. The pressure landscape over central Canada and the USA is fairly mild - highs and lows aren't too different from eachother over the Appalacians and midwest.
