Did you know that the COVID-19 pandemic caused ⚡⚡⚡ lighting ⚡⚡⚡ strikes to decline a lot across the globe?
Why?
Less travel ➡️ fewer anthropogenic aerosols in the air ➡️ fewer clouds ➡️ less lightning.
So when the world paused during the pandemic, storms got notably less intense.
Cool, eh?
President Trump has warned CEOs of some of the top U.S. automakers that they had better not raise car prices because of tariffs
This gets weirder and weirder as economic policy. Tax imports but don’t allow domestic producers to raise prices? Next stop: production quotas?
