I understand the value of having a local feed, but it puts activists like me in danger because folks can figure out where I live.

It keeps showing my videos first to the extremely conservative area I live in, and because of that, I can’t go out in public right now without getting hate recognized to the point where some put their hands on their gun when they see me..

I recommend searching “water bankruptcy” and “running out of water” on TikTok. Quite a few of the more doom and gloom videos show up there. Some of the videos might not seem very bad but just take a look at the comments; they often feature young people having suicidal ideations.

Just an FYI that climate doom is brewing on social media right now, and it all stems from the UN water bankruptcy report.

Surviving a climate disaster has only made me more of a climate optimist than I was before. I don't need constant reminders of how bad climate issues are; I've already lived it. Now I just want to focus on implementing solutions so this never happens to my community again.

Yup! Then Helene came in and really did a number on their tourism industry. I'm glad residents realized these data centers won't actually help them. It'll just raise their bills and cause air pollution while the only locals making money will be the developers.

Still thinking about the last time I saw my in-laws before going no contact with them when I urged them to make any major purchases for the farm before Trump's tariffs kicked in, and they told me that I + Google + every economist ever was wrong and Trump was right about who pays tariffs..

Any bad news for Trump is good news for me, but this is especially good news considering tariffs have impacted the implementation of climate solutions across the country.

Plus, my wallet can't handle more of these tariffs. My bills are up 60% compared to last February despite buying/using less.

I peeked at Threads for the first time in weeks, and my feed is 99% ragebait and 1% credible news. No wonder most of the harassment I received last year came from that platform. It's honestly worse than Twitter ever was for me before I left. Thankfully there aren't many trolls here on Bluesky!
