Has anyone had luck with using bentonite clay as a plastic-free pond liner?

I've used it to patch holes in landfill liners for years, and I can't believe I didn't consider it sooner for my backyard wildlife pond design.

I understand the value of having a local feed, but it puts activists like me in danger because folks can figure out where I live.

I recommend searching “water bankruptcy” and “running out of water” on TikTok. Quite a few of the more doom and gloom videos show up there. Some of the videos might not seem very bad but just take a look at the comments; they often feature young people having suicidal ideations.
