I understand the financial reasoning but worry about its overall impact. Climate hushing is bad enough as is; this is only going to make it worse.

I love how I've trained my Bluesky algorithim to only show me climate, politics, trains, mushrooms, birds, and Star Trek. It's truly a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of social media.

Well, this was insulting to read as a scientist and activist who has been working overtime for the past year to reduce the damage the Trump administration is doing.
What I don't understand about climate doomers is how they refuse to accept the fact that every single fraction of a degree of warming we can prevent, whether that be now or in the future, will save lives and ecosystems. Also, adaptation exists, so there's no excuse to give up on activism.

If you believe people and ecosystems don't deserve help recovering from climate disasters because of who governs the area, then you don't actually care about addressing the climate crisis. You have a weird punishment kink, and you need to be called out for it because your behavior is harmful.

It keeps showing my videos first to the extremely conservative area I live in, and because of that, I can’t go out in public right now without getting hate recognized to the point where some put their hands on their gun when they see me..
