Saw a thoughtful thread about AI, don't want to QT or argue. But. The biggest rage factor with LLMs is the people who, because genAI is transformative for coding, think it's transformative for everything else, because they devalue every other form of work and labor and knowledge.

You know, why not say “tree-huggers”? It’s equally vague but equally indicative.

Oh I’m not questioning that; it’s a straightforward assessment. I’m just wary of adjectives like “quirky” - it’s been used before to dismiss my work and the music we perform as unserious and of lesser quality compared to the Polyphony Bros. It’s an easy way to dismiss an entire demographic or field.

The government is cutting Graea Directoe Jenny Sealey's Access to Work by 50% - not only a direct assault on her equal right to work, but what feels like a targeted attack on the capacity of a leading disabled organisation to speak truth to power and challenge and change culture. This is obscene.
