Huge thanks to Brenda for the warmth, love and generosity of spirit she brings to our community groups in North Wiltshire, and for sharing her #volunteer story

Dementia care is all about the face-to-face, but sometimes desk research/online tools help people experiencing #dementia and families in #Wiltshire find the extra connections they need.
Our online Support Village will always be a work in progress - tell us what we've missed bit.ly/4lY9ut9
Never too old for a disco!
We had a great boogie at #OldSilkWorks first 70s-inspired disco - complete with DJ, bouncer on the door, mocktails and the lovely company of Warminster School kids, who also lent their disco lights. Groovy time had by all!

Our new memory group is underway in #Warminster. The weekly Tuesday group will be a mash-up of our most popular activities - Music for the Mind, Movement for the Mind, a memory cafe, plus plenty of chat, experience-sharing and mutual support along the way!

Board with names and coffee orders pencilled on it
Group of older men with their coffees
Collection of mugs filled with tea and coffee
Nothing goes to waste at Corsham Memory Shed! An offcut of MDF became a handy notepad to jot down those all-important tea and coffee orders.
Our new #memoryshed opens this month in #Calne - can't wait to get busy there too.

We support 2,500 people affected by dementia every year. We know how our amazing staff bring happiness and empowerment, reduce isolation and restore dignity. So we're proud to be part of #ProvidersUnite day of action. It is time for change, for investment and for policy makers to #ValueSocialCare
25.02.2025 12:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Social care deserves recognition and respect and it's time for policy makers to acknowledge its true value. It's time for the Government to engage in a meaningful dialogue about the impact of the Budget and ensure fair pay and sustainable investment in care services. #ValueSocialCare #ProvidersUnite
25.02.2025 11:36 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good luck to everyone at #ProvidersUnite march today, including our own senior manager Monique Bentley. Social care matters - it brings joy, security and comfort to the most vulnerable, but Government actions are putting our sector at risk. Social care is a right not a privilege!
