it's such a bad feeling to know that, or to realize it... which is disheartening that people don't really care about your character as you do theirs, or even want to bother to know them more beyond surface level questions. i feel like there needs to be some major change in the rp sphere

and i love yours!!! 😭😭 im just tired of the greater rp scene, even the quicksands rp is just.... different, its hard to say

thank you! glad you managed to move on from it, unfortunately it seems like this sentiment can be shared across all RP platforms... which is so disheartening and it sucks that it even made you quit rp in the first place

i know it's so dramatic since RP is just a hobby! but i love this hobby, i've been doing it since i was a teenager on RP forums, i love the stories that develop and making the characters... im just tired of the lack of care or actual investment from others

it's hard!! you want to show a character you love so dearly, you invest so much effort in knowing theirs but the same is never given to you in kind. i'm sorry you've had to deal with it too, i feel like RP is a collaborative thing and therefore should be reciprocated in your efforts!

whether that be for attraction or for their own plot purposes, etc. it's just a running theme i've encountered, and obviously its not the same for everyone. i've joined enough RP FCs to feel like the formula will never quite change either

just a light vent, but i've been very dissuaded by the RP scene on ffxiv lately... it's hard to find meaningful character connections, i feel like those are a dime a dozen and a lot of the times people aren't really interested in your character but rather what purpose they can serve for them
