I fully agree. Also, when I was blogging, I’d post often. But with newsletters, I keep second-guessing myself for precisely that reason. I have to ask myself if a particular piece of writing is worth adding to people’s inboxes, etc. I went on newsletter hiatus in part because I can’t figure it out.

I *loved* my blog reader back in the day. I agree with you, but I’m playing the new game now.

I’m glad you loved it too! It went deep enough and was charming enough that I really forgot my stress about the American dumpster fire for a few minutes. I’m thinking of becoming a paid subscriber.

The vegan part is a great contribution, though, not to be minimized! We are…not so great in that area.

This ongoing conversation feels like a good reason to integrate habits we should have *anyway*. Like, there’s climate stuff wrapped up in this, etc. I know I personally got lazy, especially trying to budget for food for a houseful of kids. But this situation gives me motivation to reevaluate.

Evaluating the potential impacts of US tariffs The new US administration is considering sweeping tariffs on imports. While many important elements are unknown, these measures could be highly disruptive to the Canadian and US economies.

As a Canadian (wow, first time saying that since becoming a citizen in December) who is not an expert in economics, I found this really straightforward and helpful. Maybe you will too.

Having a public conversation about the failed media is extremely important if we have any hope of ever repairing any of this.

Part of the problem is that you may very well regret ending up $60,000 in debt with an unfinished degree or the inability to find a job. This would be much less of an issue if the US had free or low-cost higher education.
