Totally agree about opinions and suggestions. The only way the work resonates widely is to be sure to listen carefully to feedback. Being too attached is a big pitfall. It’s a process.

I start with a poem and then figure out how to make it into a story. Let it simmer, seek feedback, and keep pushing to distill it to its essence. I keep rewriting until finally, it becomes something special. It might not work for others but it seems to work for me. #kidlitchat
