4yo, listening to the song Mamma Mia: “this song reminds me of Swedish fish”
Me: “oh, did you know the group singing it is Swedish?”
Him: “no, it sounds red”
Omg, sure, okay insurance
I’m a baby sewer turtle and my dream is to steal people’s bank info to pay their own bills with. And pizza 🍕 🐢
Ooh next up in the mail, my other favorite: our sewer bill, which will ask me to complete a captcha in order to submit payment
Love every time our health insurance asks us whether our child’s injury could be subrogated to be paid by someone else’s insurance and I get to be like, no, they did this on their own in our house
The wait for this to get decided is agonizing, fingers crossed for both of us 🤞🏻
Mct!! And yeah, really not loving scenario 6, my kid would be split up from all her friends - she’d cope, but she’d be devastated - and it’s not THAT much farther, but it would be that much farther for 8 years until my younger kid goes to junior high 😭
Apparently every school forges their own path (while they can, lol)
Today’s literacy week theme day was “March Book Madness, wear your favorite team’s gear”; 9yo went with her Babysitter’s Club shirt.
Forgot to say, thank you to the school cafeteria for scheduling french toast sticks as the entree today, one less lunch to pack did help!
First time “spring forward” meant dragging the kids out of bed instead being glad to shift their schedule a little later, milestone! 🏆
Got the 9yo a Caboodle for her Items
9yo using the “ghost” toy megaphone setting, says that she’s the clanking in our radiators and that the radiators were “meaty”
Also, he:
1. demanded the 9-shaped candle from sister’s birthday
2. blew out candles
3. ate one bite of cupcake
4. went and got his new Hot Wheels™️ Mid-Air Collision Stunt Track
5. refused to come back and eat more cupcake until it was time to start bedtime, at which point he NEEDED cupcake
Only slight regrets on the voice-changing megaphone gift, he’s so happy
Younger child is 4! He has grudgingly forgiven us for not fulfilling his “burgers for breakfast in bed” request
(His first words to me this morning: “remember that time we forgot to make burgers?”)
Now we’ve moved on to racing up and down this ramp, which we’ve been doing for two years but used to be a mama steam train and baby steam train, and now we’re Mario and Yoshi and using my phone stopwatch
Preschooler into hide and seek these days, which unfortunately he wants to play in public places where we’re waiting while 9yo does activities, hope the other parents are enjoying hearing him yelling at me to find a better spot
Ooohh
Wife does such good work
Getting in 9yo’s belated bday party 4 days before preschooler turns 4, we haven’t started planning his yet 😂 the third graders climbing are so so cute tho
The sky by the parking lot outside the rock climbing place is incredibly blue
A train of thought that began with remembering that Sam Altman went to a private high school that rejected me
What’s that? A hat! Crazy, funky, junky hat.
It is snowing again (hint of blue is the children’s snow volcano from yesterday)
I’m so sorry, that’s awful
I do have some notes on the potential conclusion to the weekend
