the laptop i used to use for all my art was a surface book, which is the one I just replaced, and I learned a generic charger makes it not recognize the pen. in hindsight I should've figured that was the issue, now I just need to deep clean the keyboard lmao

yeahhh I was hoping the charger i got with it was gonna be genuine but turns out it was a brandless brick with an otherwise okay usb C cable so it makes more sense. as much as I hate it, there's a reason reliable chargers are pricey

honestly if i don't get a response from the reseller i might try our equivalent here. i learned there's no apple stores in most of mexico, but there are authorized shops. if they can't clean it without having to ship it off then maybe i'll try for a replacement

just got it today, but it's still filthy inside. I'm not usually one to complain to get assistance, but it was *supposed* to be premium refurbished and cleaned one and they didn't even bother to wipe the screen
