Kids comic p 1/2. Dad, holding a baby: “Who’s ready for the family photo??” Kids building with blocks “Just a minute!” “Noooo!” Mom, fiddling with camera: “We just need ONE good shot for our holiday cards.” Kids: “Let’s do this!” “Ugh, fine…” They all pose as the camera beeps. Click!

Kids comic p 2/2 - we see the photo. The baby is pulling on and slobbering on the dad’s tie. Mom has a too-big smile. The kids are in front, one striking a pose and whacking the other in the face. In the final panel, one holds the photo and says “These look perfect!” Mom, who is addressing cards: “They look perfectly like us!”

Kid comic page 1/2- A kid and parent walk on the sidewalk. Mom: “Here’s your stop!” Kid, thinking: “I hope we didn’t miss the bus!” Mom, holding up camera: “Say ‘kindergarten’!” Kid thinks “Or what if it’s super late and I miss the first day?! Or what if I forget to get off the bus and am stuck on there all day? How do I find my teacher? How do I find the bathroom? What if my sandwich is soggy at lunch?” The text in this thought bubble gets smaller and smaller as more worries pop into her head.

Kid comic page 2/2: A voice from off panel says “Hey!” and pops the kid’s thought bubble. Another, older, kid appears and says “You look nervous! Have no fear! Fallow me, little duckling!” She escorts the young child, who looks up at her with heart eyes, onto the bus. The final panel shows them both sitting on the bus together. The yo g child smiles and waves out the window. Now the older kid has a thought bubble. “Is this shirt cool enough? Will any of my friends be in my class? Will I have to sit with this kindergartener every day this year?”
