Thank you for persisting and for representing your people. You are a true example of a *professional* nurse advocating for real health care. Caring for the health of the community.

And the worst thing is that they are profiting from foolish women and injured babies. As a sibling of an older adult with CP how could you risk that purposely? Unconscionable. We were grateful he lived, but to choose this?

Who knew! I am both a nurse and a quilter and have not heard of this technique. This study shows promise. I’m so glad it turned up in my #quiltsky feed

In my stints of organizing some of the most dedicated people to the cause were religious people who felt compelled to the right thing through their faith. Our group held meetings at a Quaker Hall and our actions were often coordinated with local churches and the UU.

Specifically I find (most) batiks thinner fabric, tighter woven (with a corresponding higher thread count), and stretch less. The colors and prints can be sort of muddy, but certainly not all, and it can make them more blend-y than other fabrics. Your choice if you consider any/all a benefit or not.

Let’s take a moment to honor the sacrifice of our brave school children who lay down their lives to protect our right to bear arms.

This is an interesting technique. I’ve made a t-shirt quilt but it ended up too heavy (and stiff) with even the super-light interfacing. Baby clothes are little and the 5-8” roll widths do work as cute columns.

Especially when hate is fueled by fear. It becomes a justified war. People forget that hate (and war) is morally wrong. The ends justify the evil means.
