Here's the thing: I know the named candidates aren't doing it themselves. But they're standing behind the theft, and aren't doing *anything* about it.

A lot of FOX shows did this sort of forced drama -- the first few seasons of House did similar things. Bones learned quickly it was stupid and went back to normal interpersonal conflicts.

Similar enough. That's neat!

In S2 of Bones, they tried to add some forced conflict: new boss who butts heads with Brennan. And repeatedly asks "Do I have to replace you?"

In-universe... there *is* no replacing her. If she leaves, most of her staff leaves with her, and they go to their pick of places.

I loved that show. Someone did a DVD release recently that got licenses for most of the music, so I have it in Beaveron, waiting to be packed & shipped.

Back in 1799, when a congressman was impeached. That was the only time a congress member has been impeached.

The logic way back then was that there was no way to remove POTUS or judges, therefore impeachment was necessary, but each Chamber could remove its own members, therefore clearly they did not expect impeachment to be allowable.

Admittedly, they could still ask them at tha tpoint.

But no matter how often they are expelled from Congress, they can continue to run for office.

The bad logic that prevents them from being impeached would mean that presidents can't be impeached, since there is another way to remove them (25th).

I'm still pissed that congress people can't be impeached.

Untrue, since federal judges are not elected.

Sadly, I suspect the ownership rights wouldn't let it happen, but it'd be a great gag for an episode or two each season.

The two teams are on the opposite side of the law -- Sneakers are pen-testers, which means they're doing shady things with permission, while Leverage are thieves, but they're doing shdy things for ethical reasons.

Sometimes, they butt heads. Sometimes, they team up.

We are now watching the Leverage pilot. 😄

I am terrified of it.

They can provide information; the people giving them money could also require that that information *not be sold* as part of the agreement.

I have paid *thousands of dollars* in the past year because of these fucking SMS spams, so if you do nothing to prevent it, I won't be donating.

When we rewatch the original show -- which we do, about once a year -- we skip a fair number of episodes in the 1st season, and a few in the 3rd and 4th seasons. "The Bank Job" in the 1st season is as perfect as the pilot.
