Spent multiple days troubleshooting slow download speeds. Turns out I was confusing myself measuring in bytes per second, and my old router was giving its all, but my internet speed had slowly surpassed its transmission speed ๐Ÿคฃ

Solution: new, faster router. Thank you for your service old router ๐Ÿซก

Building a High-End AI Desktop ML, Biotech, Hardware, and Coordination Problems. Sometimes I write about hard problems and how to solve them.

Basically 3 options, as I understand:
1. Mac Mini/Studio
2. Ryzen AI Max-based mini PC
3. Get *really* lucky with datacenter hardware: dnhkng.github.io/posts/hopper/

Regardless; more RAM = capacity for bigger models.

Not Python specific, but have you tried Zed?

Its usually written on a laptop/desktop as script files, or web frameworks (Django). Deployment varies from on-demand local scripts to dockerized web apps, and everything in between.

Its a weakly typed interpreted scripting language. Benefits include wide adoption, tons of packages that extend it like pandas or numpy, and a relatively low barrier to entry. It's great if you want to build something quickly and app performance isn't as important as having a working app ASAP.

Programming with Mosh Hi! I'm Mosh ๐Ÿ‘‹, a software engineer with over 20 years of experience. I'm all about clear, concise, practical coding tutorials โ€“ no fluff, just the good stuff! My courses focus on real-world projects...

I initially learned with Mosh's YouTube tutorial. There are lots of other options including books like Automate The Boring Stuff. Trick is finding one that works for you.

Depends. I don't know Ruby so it could be cool to learn. If time's a factor; Python.

I struggled with date objects, and I don't think I was the only one. Maybe repeated in-class practice for the students as well as homework, to try and boost familiarity?

What hardware are you using to run the LLM queries? I've been experimenting with Nvidia/CUDA.

Pyscript.net PyScript is a platform for Python in the browser.

Love that we get fun little projects like this pyscript.net
Building a pyscript site really helped boost my confidence as a newbie dev.

Donโ€™t buy these dangerous USB-C accessories You risk killing your laptop, tablet, or phone using cheap magnetic USB-C adapters.

I wish magnetic had been part of the USB-C spec from the beginning, but alas...

Next step is to integrate it into VS Code/Codium and/or Zed.

Things I've learned recently:
In terminal you don't have to use `cd ~`, as I have been; `cd` will take you to your home directory. This represents a 40% savings in keystrokes!

So adding SSH keys to allow GitHub operations must be done in system and VS Code terminals separately. The former doesn't carry over to the latter. Wish I'd have known that a few days ago....๐Ÿ˜… #python #pythonprogramming #softwaredevelopment #JavaScript
