You know, it's kinda shitty that Mike Tyson helped Stone Cold Steve Austin win at WrestleMania XIV, but when Tyson needed him last night, the Texas Rattlesnake was nowhere to be found.
The point isn’t to increase attendance right now. It’s to make the shows feel full and sound full on tv to increase viewership and general interest in the product. Once the promotion gets hot again you move to larger venues. This is a common booking tactic, I’m not just pulling it out of my ass lol
People saying the Tyson-Paul debacle was basically pro wrestling clearly haven’t watched a lot of pro wrestling cuz that would have been wayyy more fun

That’s kind of the point. Attendance is way down so fill up smaller venues with loud crowds and make the shows feel hot again to help build momentum for the company. The mostly empty big arenas with small crowds are killing the vibe on live tv (ie see this week’s dynamite).
She’s the Chelsea green of aew, which imo is a HUGE compliment. She gets it. Takes the tiniest moments on screen and wrings every ounce of value out of them. Have to applaud that kind of talent and dedication!
Venues in bigger cities are significantly more expensive. Part of the move to smaller towns/cities is likely cost management. Smaller venues in bigger cities is the way to go imo.
